What Causes Redness, Irritation And Swelling In Clitoris After Sexual Intercourse?

Hey so I just got a new sex partner & I m not sure if his penis is too big, or if my vagina just dosent like it. My clit is really irritating, causing me to loose sleep, & keeping me literally on edge. Idont think it s a std, bc Iknow my body. I m not burning, itching, or dry at all, but I am irritated, red, swollen,&& tired of this already && it s the 2nd day this morning and I m fed up already

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think it might be due to trauma during intercourse. Keep good local hygiene. Apply cold compresses locally. If no improvement within a week, then should consult with gynecologist as might require extra diagnostic tests and a more specific treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
