What Causes Redness Of Face With History Of Heart Attack?

I had a heart attack 2 years ago, (dissection). My cardiologist said I can now do pretty much anything I was doing before again. Sometimes my face turns very red, as if I am blushing. This usually happens when I exert myself; sometimes, it just happens. Is this redness related in any way to heart problems?

Hello
Welcome to HCM
Thanks for posting your query. I understand your concerns. Redness of face on exertion is just due to increase in the cardiac output that occurs when a person exerts.

If you experience any cardiac symptoms like chest pain, increase sweat,, the you need to consult your cardiologist and do an ECG.

Otherwise no need to worry. Hope this helps you.

Thank you
