What Causes Redness On Labia After Having Surgery For Urethra?

Yes. I just recently had a surgery for my ureth. Because I had an incontinence issue. I had some sort of thickener to stick to my walls. I have some redness on my labia and the opening of my vagina has something that looks and feels like a turkey neck directly at the opening. Am I having some type of prolapse issue.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. To know what exactly is the issue, a local examination with a speculum is needed. Yet, based on your description, I will try to offer some explanation. Instrumentation during the surgery on the urethra may have caused some trauma resulting in the redness of the labia. Also, this could be a local reaction to the chemical used in the urethra as part of the treatment procedure. The appearance at the vaginal orifice could be a remnant of the hymenal tissue appearing as tags. Please get a proper appraisal by your health care provider. Wish you good health.
