What Causes Redness On The Cheeks?

I have a redness on my cheeks that I have had since I was little. Its not a rash, but it doesnt go away. I've been to a dermatologist, but I dont remember the condition it was. I notice though that many of the teenagers at my school have this too. What is this condition and can it be gotten rid of?
