What Causes Redness On The Penis After Prostatectomy?

My husband had his prostate removed 10 days ago. He has been putting bacitracin around the tip where the catheter goes in as instructed 4 time a day. Yesterday his penis was red and had bite like marks that were itchy. Today the shaft is swollen and itchy. What do I do. The catheter comes out tomorrow.

might have developed urethritis and uti for retention of catheter.urine culture and sensitivity test is to be done and give most effective antibiotic recomanded in culture report. give more water to drink and alcasol syrup three times daily.
