General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
Waxing is a procedure where facial hairs are pulled out with help of wax. During the process, there is trauma to the hair roots, the delicate layer skin which causes redness, and pimple like reaction on skin after waxing.
If waxing is done properly( pulling hairs n opposite direction of hairs) with optimum force- usually this skin reaction goes within 6-8 hours of waxing. With ice treatment only.
The crops of irruptions are possible in case of infection of hair root, waxing done when pimples are already present.
This needs antibiotic treatment along with pimple care with an expert skin specialist's advise.
Thanks.
