What Causes Reduced Blood Pressure Level And Fainting Spells?
This morning my wife fainted at Physical Therapy as she was getting dressed after pool therapy. About three hours later she fainted again in our kitchen at home. I checked her blood pressure after she lay on the couch for a little while and her blood pressure was 104/59. ShL5/S1 fused June 30 this year and still has pain from the surgery. Not unusual for this type surgery. I don t understand the cause of the fainting or low blood pressure.

Usually blood pressure to be checked with in 5 minutes of standing after lying down to know postural hypotension if systolic blood pressure fall more than 20 and diastolic blood pressure fall more than 10 mmHg then it is significant. It may be due to hypotension or hypoglycemia or anemia or cardiac abnormalities or BPPV or vestibular neuronitis, etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Vertin thrice a day for five days. Also check blood pressure, ECG, vestibular apparatus function, hemoglobin status, etc. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
