What Causes Reduced Blood Pressure Level While On Fenofibrate And Rosuvastatin?
Hi I had a high TG of around 600 levels and LDL of 140 for the first time. Checked with ECHO and ECG, everything cam back fine, I was put on Fenofibrate 160MG and Rosuvastatin 5mg by the cardiologist, after a month my lipids cam down rapidly to TG at 104 and LDL at 41 only. But i am having vertigo since last few days and my blood pressure went down to 90/60 a day ago but now its 110/80 without anything. I am an asian origin, does this medicine have such effects?
Your TG level has been responding very well to the treatment with fenofibrate, while high cholesterol has responded well to the treatment with rosuvastatin.
That's fine so far. To me, you should not take these meds just continue with diet and lifestyle changes.
Low blood pressure (bp) could be related to the use of these meds. I advise to monitor your bp and record the results for reference.
Following a restricted diet can also cause low BP.
Try to have regular meals and increase fluids intake.
Hope this helps.
