What Causes Reduced Body Temperature, Chills And Headaches?

I have been having low temp, chills and headaches for over a week. Saw my dr on Thursday, he called on Friday to tell me my b12 and iron levels are fine. He suggested blood specialists, which he is arranging. And asked me to come back Thursday to see if there is a difference in my count. I now have a cough. What do you suggest? I m supposed to teach 4 yr old Vbs this coming week.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think these symptoms are because of viral infection. Viral infections usually takes 3-4 days to resolve. As we can not use antibiotics in such condition, we have to manage it symptomatically. Paracetamol will be helpful for headache and chills. Do salt water gargles in lukewarm water 3-4 times for cough. Avoid cold drinks and food for 1 week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
