What Causes Reduced Fetal Movements After Taking Betnesol Injection?
Hi I am 37 weeks 3 days pregnant and as the weight of the baby is close to 4 kgs now my doctor decided to go for C-SECTION on exactly the 38th week day, for that she asked me to take 2 doses of 12mg betnesol injection. I had already taken one yesterday and not feeling any moment of the baby is it normal. Also let me know do we really need to take betnesol injection at this time
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Betnesol is having steroid. Steroid injection is indicated in preterm and low birth weight babies where early lung maturation is needed. In your case, there is no need for Betnesol injection as you have already reached 37 weeks and your baby is healthy (4kg). So better not to take second dose of Betnesol. Get done ultrasound examination for fetal viability. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
