Hi,

Reduced sperm motility can be caused by a variety of factors, including hormonal imbalances, genetic factors, infections, lifestyle habits, and certain medications.

In your case, it is unclear what tablets you were taking for 6 months to increase your active sperm motility. However, if your active motility has decreased to 13% after the treatment, it is possible that the treatment was not effective in addressing the underlying cause of your reduced motility.

It is recommended that you speak with your physician about the results of your latest sperm test and discuss possible options for further treatment. Your physician may recommend additional testing or refer you to a specialist for further evaluation.

Some potential treatments for reduced sperm motility may include lifestyle modifications such as regular exercise and a healthy diet, avoiding exposure to environmental toxins, and reducing stress. Medications and supplements may also be recommended to improve sperm motility. In some cases, assisted reproductive technologies such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) may be recommended.

It is important to follow your physician's recommendations and continue to monitor your sperm motility through regular testing. Additionally, practicing good overall health habits can help to support healthy sperm production and motility.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
