Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Reduction In Creatinine Phosphokinase Levels (CPK)?
My cpk is reducing by itself. I haven t taken any medicine. Is this possible? What is the reason behind it? I am getting weaker and weaker day by day but my cpk levels are getting low. I am a patient of limb griddle muscular dystrophy. And will stem cell therapy help me....??
With limb girdle muscular dystrophy the CPK levels are deranged and you are getting weaker this the muscke mass is getting reduced and thus lowering the CPK. Stem cell has no definite role in this disease. Physiotherapist will help you.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
