What Causes Reflux Food Stuck In Throat?

After I eat sometimes my food will come up in my throat . I am 5 4 and weight is 145. Just lately I have started a dull burning sensation in my stomach area . I have been taking naproxen 500 every night for arthritis . could this be an ulcer in my stomach ?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of reflux food stuck in throat which points towards gastro-esophageal reflux disease also known as acid reflux in which which acid from stomach enters into food pipe and throat leading to irritation and inflammation which causes heartburn as well as tickling and irritation in throat. Need not to worry. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly. You should go for exercise daily. You should take combination of proton pump inhibitors such as Omeprazole or Pantoprazole along with antacids such as Calcium carbonate. You should avoid large meals rather than this take frequent small meals. Drink plenty of water. Avoid spicy,acidic, hot food substances.
