What Causes Regular Brownish Discharge?

i have had the mirena iud for 3 years with no problems, and very light semi regular periods... the last 2 months i've had a brownish discharge almost everyday. sometimes its only when i wipe and other times it is string and clumps at the bottom of the toilet. Sometimes there is bright red blood mixed in it. Is this something serious i should worry about?
