General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Tendinitis can be caused by a sudden injury. It can also be caused by a condition that cause a particular movement over time. Most people develop tendinitis because their jobs or hobbies involve repetitive motions, which put stress on the tendons. I suggest to avoid movements that can twig the pain. Meanwhile, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
