What Causes Residual Blurred Vision After Viral Conjunctivitis?

I had viral conjunctivitis about 2 months ago which lasted 2 weeks. I had blurred vision for a while after. I saw a eye doctors and i was put on drops to help. I still have slight blurred vision and pain. Is this due to scarring of the eye and sensitivity? My mum also had it and they said it can take up to two years to fully recover.

Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

Blurred vision after viral conjunctivitis indicates keratoconjunctivitis.
Keratoconjunctivitis result in multiple corneal opacities resulting in blurred vision.
This takes 2-3 months for visual recovery.
Use of steroid eye drops under cover of antibiotics result in early resolution.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for prescription of drugs.

Thank you
