What Causes Restlessness Along With Loss Of Memory?

I am experiencing a great deal of restlessness, inability to focus, and forgetfulness. My family has suggested that I have ADHD (runs in my family), and that I look into seeing if Adderall (sp?) can help me. Several members of my family take it. But it takes forever to get an apt with my general doctor... any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your concern is right, it may be taking good time to see your doctor, but the fact that the drug may have serious side effects, and may cause more harm then benefits if used carelessly, so I understand you should not start the drug without proper assessment and prescription.

The symptoms may or may not be related to ADHD. But even if it is ADHD, it's not an emergency and we can wait before starting the treatment which should always be under specialist advice. It's not only the drug, but there are also many other factors involved in disease management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
