What Causes Restricted Speech And Lack Of Communication In A Toddler?

Dear Sir, I do write to inform you that I am very much worried with my son Shri Sourasish Das, 3yrs 3 mnth. Kolkata. He is very much energetic and lively but does not response instantly and also is not communicating verbally. He only utters 2-3 words like MAMA,BABA,DIDI etc. Physically ,he is fit but lags in communication . He expresses himself only by body movement and doesn’t even try to communicate verbally. I consulted 5-6 doctors in Kolkata and is totally puzzled with various diagnosis done by them and as a result no proper treatment started. Various tests have been conducted like ECG,BERA and nothing was found and so no conclusion was drawn on the basis of the tests. Some diagnosed that my son is mildly autistic and suggested counseling. So, right now ,he is undergoing counseling. Further to this, I also want to inform you that he suffered from convulsion twice during high fever at the age of 1yr6 mnths and 3yrs2 mnths. 3 month back, I consulted with Dr Debasish Bose, and he told me that my son”s case is not at all typically autistic and prescribed one medicine for the development of brain.
