What Causes Retraction Of Eardrum And Enlarged Adenoids?
My ENT has found my eardrum to be retracted and enlarged adenoids. I have constant ear ringing and pain, I am not able to equalize. I have tried steroid sprays, dosepaks and still no relief. ENT is telling me I will just have to live with the ringing in my ear. I feel that adeniods, congestiona and sinus drip is clogging eustacian tubes. I feel that I need tubes placed and adenoids removed. I feel if pressure were corrected, maybe the ringing would stop??
It is possible that if the tinnitus (ringing in your ear) is solely related to your adenoids and any other acute problems, that treatment would help to reduce it.
It may not be permanent.
You may want to consider a second opinion regarding your diagnosis and treatment options.
I hope this helps
