I am experiencing Reverberations. I know I’ve never heard of it either. I’m a nurse practitioner and I’ve never heard the term as a symptom, never had a patient complain of the sensation. It took me several days to identify the term and only while watching a movie where a shotgun was fired across a wide expanse and the shot could be heard in layers - loud at first then gradually faded. No medication changes

Yes, this is very strange symptom. Since this is related to hearing, we should first rule out ear disease for this symptom. So get done CT scan of temporal bone and audiometry test. If both these are normal then no need to worry for any ear pathology.
