Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 35w and 6d pregnant I just found out yesterday my baby has a rhythm in his heartbeat. Should I be worried? I m waiting for a fetal specialist to contact me but I guess it won t be until tomorrow. I ve always heard the sound on the monitor and thought it was his movements but I brought it up to my Dr and she confirmed she also heard it too. His heartrates are pretty good 138 to 150s should I be worried? Plus everything is good with him.
As per my clinical experience, the rhythm in heart beat may be concern of normal physiologic variation, specific indication of cord around neck or others. A precise fetal monitoring is mandatory for 24 hours period to look into any particular abnormality if present via external monitoring devices.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
