What Causes Rib Cage Pain While On Percocet?

Good evening......I ve been taking the drug Percocet for my back and I was looking around because I ve been having a lot of pain in, what I think, is under my rib cage. Someone said the Percocet can cause you to have trouble breathing. I was just wondering if the two could be related?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Unlikely, percocet in a normal dose should not cause problems with breathing unless you are allergic to it. It may be that the nerves from your mid-back are causing the rib pain. if it is severe, see your doctor.
