What Causes Right Abdominal Pain While On Birth Control?

I ve been having pain on the right side of my abdomen in the middle area and have had a low temperature for over a week now. My blood and urine test results both came back negative. I also had a pelvic sonagram done and it came up clear.I started birth control 3 weeks ago and was wondering if this could have anything to do with it I ve also had two misscarriages recently what could be going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pain can related to any structure in the particular area.

Pain on the right side of the abdomen may be related to the skin , muscles and soft tissue, underlying organs (spleen, intestines, ovary, tubes, bladder).

The ultrasound should have identified any changes with any of these organs if it was a abdominal pelvic ultrasound (looked at both the abdomen and pelvic organs).

It is possible that the pain may be a muscular issue. If this is not likely then you may want to have repeat imaging.

I hope this helps
