General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Bump of walnut size on patella indicate underlying hematoma most likely during biking or hockey play activity. Local application of ice and prescription of antibiotics with anti inflammatory medicines are best remedies to cure and prevent secondary abscess formation in your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
