What Causes Right Sided Back Pain?

My 10 year old daughter has back pain near her spine on the right side. She started complaining Sunday then seemed fine yesterday but is crying saying she is in a lot of pain now. Could this be something with kidneys or maybe just a pinched nerve? She has no fever or other symptoms.

Hi,

Usually, at the age of 10, there would be acute muscle spasm from some play activities.

After giving trial therapy of ibuprofen kid with local application of analgesic spray or ointment, if there is the persistence of pain, then consult her to the pediatrician for further evaluation and guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
