What Causes Right-sided Chest Pain?

I m a 44 yo female. My upper chest has been hurting for about the last 2 hours. It s above my right breast. No history of heart disease. My blood pressure is 144/88. Which is normal for me. Nothing I do makes it worse or better. I m sitting here writing this and it s uncomfortable.. I don t want to overreact and think it s my heart, but I m concerned also. It feels like someone is sitting on my chest Any help you could give will be greatly appreciated

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have right-sided chest pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like lung infection , viral infection , acid reflux , liver disease , muscle spasm and cardiac problems . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor will examine with the help of chest x-ray , ECG , TMT and complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe nitroglycerine , morphine and betablockers . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist or gastroenterologist if he/she find problem to be related with chest infection or acid reflux respectively . Avoid eating spicy and heavy food and apply warm compresses on chest .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
