I m a 44 yo female. My upper chest has been hurting for about the last 2 hours. It s above my right breast. No history of heart disease. My blood pressure is 144/88. Which is normal for me. Nothing I do makes it worse or better. I m sitting here writing this and it s uncomfortable.. I don t want to overreact and think it s my heart, but I m concerned also. It feels like someone is sitting on my chest Any help you could give will be greatly appreciated

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like lung infection , viral infection , acid reflux , liver disease , muscle spasm and cardiac problems . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor will examine with the help of chest x-ray , ECG , TMT and complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe nitroglycerine , morphine and betablockers . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist or gastroenterologist if he/she find problem to be related with chest infection or acid reflux respectively . Avoid eating spicy and heavy food and apply warm compresses on chest .
