What Causes Right-sided Facial Pain While Treating Maxillary Sinus?
Hello,I started with facial pain to touch on right side of face this morning. The pain is in the area of Maxillary Sinus and above and around the right eye. Also, My upper right molars are especially sensitive to cold tempature. My skin hurts to the touch in this entire area, and It appears that I am starting with a cold sore in the right corner of my mouth. Is this a neuralgia related to herpes virus?
It looks like your symptoms are due to sinus infection or sinusitis only and it is the cause of facial pain and as there are large sinuses behind the eye, therefore you can experience pain and pressure behind the eye..
So my suggestion is to consult your Physician or an Emergency room and get evaluated and a PNS View x ray can be done to confirm the diagnosis..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and take decongestant nasal sprays like Xylometazoline.. Do steam inhalation and saline nasal irrigation.. Use a humidifier in your room..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
