What Causes Right-sided Increasing Pain In Abdomen?

I have a pain that has been steadily getting more painful on my right side, where my ribs meet the abdomen. It is more on my side than in front. It is one specific spot about the circumference of a tennis ball. If my body was laid out like a clock and my belly button was 12, then it would be at about 2:30-3 range.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the right upper quadrant pain.

Incomplete data: Age, gender, alcohol intake, since how long you have been suffering, any aggravating or relieving factors, any other medical illness, etc.

If the pain increases with the fatty meal and gets radiated to the back it is suggestive of gall bladder disease (gall stones).
If it is constantly present and gets aggravated by movements, coughing or sneezing, it is suggestive of muscular pain.

If you have a loin to groin type of pain with burning urination, kidney disease or stones.

You need to be examined by a doctor for proper diagnosis and relevant investigations like blood tests, urine analysis and an ultrasound.

Hope this answers your query.
