General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear
I evaluated your concern in depth .
@ There is definite presence of underlying inflammation of any ligament
causing neurological compression or irritation of the nerve endings .
@ Require thorough evaluation in form of High resolution soft tissue
Ultrasound at first glance with later on need of MRI or else according to
the clinical findings +/- ultrasound findings .
@ Till then I suggest
# keep the leg elevated over 2-3 pillows when resting
# avoid excess weight bearing
# apply ice 3-4 times a day
# analgesic tablets 3 times a day after meals
Hope this helps you to some extent .
