What Causes Right Sided Lower Abdominal Pain?

I started having lower abdominal pain Fri. night that continued into Sat. and was quite bad. It felt like gas pains and hurt to urinate. No discoloration in urine and no odor. Had trouble standing, sitting, sleeping. Sunday was MUCH better but still had the tenderness. The pain is mostly on the right side. I do not feel sick and I m now sleeping well. Today, Monday, it feels a little better but still have the tenderness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to bloating. I suggest you to use simethicone medication to reduce the bloating. I also recommend you to limit your intake of carbonated drinks.

Avoid foods that cause gas, such as vegetables in the cabbage family, dried beans, and lentils. Use lactose-free dairy products.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
