What Causes Right Sided Pain In The Abdomen Radiating Towards Hip?

Good afternoon, My wife has been suffering from a pain in her right kidney radiating around her hip to just below her navel. She has been attempting to deal with the pain by taking prescribe dose of Hydrocodone for several days, however the pain does not seem to be dissipating and if anything she reports that it has been increasing. We suspected a Kidney Stone as she has had an episode several years ago, however as it does not seem to have passed we are now wondering if she might be suffering from something different. My advise has been to pack her up and head to the ER where then can run a dye test of her urinary tract to see if indeed this is her ailment. Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions? Hi
kidney stone is just one of the things that can cause such a pain and very probable given the fact that she has a past history.Other possible causes could be just a urinary tract infection, appendicitis or a gynecological problem.since your pain medication has not helped, i advice you head to the ER and have her examined and managed.
Regards
