My son is 7 yees of age and he gets regular ring worms on his scalp since last year. They temp to disappear however they always seems to come back and leave his scalp looking very patchy without any grow of hair. I caught him scratching his anus at times and I m constantly chasing him to wash his hands and not to put anything into his mouth ? Should this problem be internal ? How do we treat it ! Is there any liquid form of a medication to resolve this issue once for all
Hello, Thanks for the query, He has developed fungal infection. Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals. Treatment must be continued for at least a month to prevent recurrance. Various antifungal powders like candid are availabe. These can help reduce the moisture as well as control the infection.
