What Causes Ringing In The Ear?

my husband and I have recently started suffering from ringing of the ears and brief dizziness..we live in the country...are there any chemicals (sprays or pesticides) that might cause this? We also have a transformer quite close to the house (It has been there for a few years so I m not sure why it would suddenly cause problems)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your husband symptoms seem to be related to tinnitus.
Tinnitus is the perception of noise or ringing in the ears. Tinnitus isn't a condition itself, it's a symptom of an underlying condition, such as age-related hearing loss,
or a circulatory system disorder.
So,I suggest to consult an ENT specialist for further evaluation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
