What Causes Ringing Sensation In Ear Post An Injury?
About 12hrs ago I got slapped on my left ear and now I cannot hear clearly from that ear rather I have been hearing mild ringing in the ear and I haven't had any pain or bleeding or any discharge from the ear just the ringing. Please what should I do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that there is traumatic injury to the eardrum secondary to slapping on the left ear.. As there are symptoms of ringing and loss of hearing there is a possibility that the eardrum is perforated .. You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopic examination can help in diagnosis.. In case of small perforation Antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, decongestant Oral as well as nasal spray can be advised.. In case of large perforation surgical repair or Tympanoplasty can be advised..
Hope this information helps..
