hi i had a constant ringing in my ear for at least a month and a half now its not loud but i can still hear it sometimes it gets loud sometimes i dont notice it i mostly notice it when i think about it or im tryna sleep or when everythings quiet, and about 3-4 weeks ago i was diagnosted with tonsillitis do you think they are connected somehow?? help plz its reaaaaallllyy annoying
Since your problem of ringing in ear is for one and half months but had tonsillitis 3 - 4 weeks ago, there may not be connection as tonsillitis appeared later. The exact cause can be found with difficulty. It can be related to vascular component around the vestibulocochlear nerve, problems with cochlear inflammation. Hypertension, hyperthyroidism and so on.
Hence you need a detailed history taking, clinical evaluation and investigations: - MRI for tinnitus protocol - Audiometry - Relevant tests of blood. If the primary cause like hypertension or so is found, its treatment will help you the most. Till then your doctor will prescribe you empirical treatment like Ginkobiloba.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
