What Causes Ringing Sound In The Ears And Headaches While On Synthyroid?

Hello, I am experiencing what I believe to be severe side effects to synthroid. I am on 1.25 mg, prescribed to me 6 months ago. Since then, I have lost 26 pounds. I began experiencing ringing in my ears a few months ago, but it was not bad and I ignored. Now the ringing in my ears is high pitched, very loud and consistent. I have very bad headaches, my throat feels constricted, I am very fatigued and I have insomnia, that has caused me to take a sleep aid every night to sleep, and I awake and stay very fatigued. I cannot get in to see my doctor until late June. Is there any risk in discontinuing taking the synthroid altogether until that appointment?
