What Causes Robotic Sound In The Ear?

I have the robotic sound in my ear when I hear anything. What could it be? I don't have symptoms of PET. It's been happening for 3 days now. I had shoulder surgery two months ago and they sent me home with a pain management apparatus in my neck. Could that had caused a problem? It's been out for weeks.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . The sound you are experiencing in ear as you mention in query can be due to various reasons like blockage of Eustachian tube (connect middle ear to back of the throat and balance ear pressure ) ans middle ear infection . There is very rare chance that the sound is because of any growth or tumor in ear.

The Eustachian tube gets block due upper respiratory track infection, sinusitis and post nasal drip

I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist (ear, nose, throat) for proper evaluation and to rule out the cause like growth in middle ear and may order X-ray or CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course for 7-10 days and decongestant to relieve congestion.

For now take steam several times a day and drink one spoon of honey in glass of warm water twice a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
