What Causes Round, Red Spot On Mouth?

Hello, I have found a round red spot on the floor of my mouth. Is it possible that its a burst blood vessel. I feel no pain. Im a little concerned because I went to the dentist yesterday and he just told me to wait two weeks and monitor it. Any advice would be great!

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The red spot in the floor of the mouth could be a aphthous ulcer or it can be a infalammed salivary gland duct. Consult a good oral physician and get yourself examined to rule out the above said causes. If it is a ulcer, You can also take topical anesthetic and analgesics like anabel gel for the pain. If there is any inflammation of the duct then take a course of antibiotics and remove the cause like any stones.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
