Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand..

As per your complain brown phlegm and excessive mucous production especially in the morning seems to be due to either Laryngopharyngeal reflux or silent reflux or can be due to acid reflux..
Iwould suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and along with a thorough clinical evaluation he can advise you upper G.I endoscopy or Laryngoscopy to rule out the exact cause of the excess phlegm formation and in case of reflux he can advise you to take Proton Pump Inhibitors like Pantoprazole, antacids, avoiding spicy and acidic foods, drinking plenty of water, taking ample of probiotics like Yoghurt, doing moderate exercise, weight loss and sleeping with head slightly raised as compared to feet and also recline in left lateral position..
Take your dinner atleast 2 hours before sleeping..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
