What Causes Salmonella?

My 17 yr old son suffered from typhoid fever and was administered high dose of antibiotics through intrvenous and also oral medicine. Now after a one and half months again he had fever for 3 days. Then when the culture report came it shows growth of salmonella. doctor started on the antibiotic again. Bit worried about this recurrence. Can he take a typhoid vaccine now or later. Any diet restrictions to be done. Now no fever. He is very weak and he is stressed out badly because of his final year school exams which is fast approaching. Does stress and no rest can be a factor for this recurrence? The medications he took in September is as follows:- Rocephin 2gOD X 7 days Tavanic 500mg OD X10 daysupradyn OD x30 days and now he is taking Ranpime (cefixime) 400mg X 15 day OD

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I would like to say that if this was Typhoid fever and it eradicated then its over now and forget about this, in my opinion no need to go for vaccination because he already had the infection there might be some immunity developed, take care and have a nice day.
