General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Hysone contains corticosteroid used for various clinical conditions. The sore mouth with salty sensation is due to side effect of Hysone over GIT, causing reflux of stomach acid and salty sensation in mouth. The thyroid is not responsible for the salty sensation in mouth, instead it would present as dryness of tongue, itching throat and need of drinking water overnight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
