What Causes Salty Taste In Mouth While Having Sinus Infection?

I have been battling a sinus infection since June. I have been on and off antibiotics without relief. My main concern is the salty taste I have, especially if I run my tongue along my gums. I am quite certain that is related to the sinus issue, buthave concerns of this infection being around for 5 months.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain salty taste in mouth can be due to sinus infection and the cause can be post nasal drip..
Other causes can be gum infection or Dry mouth..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation will be helpful in diagnosis..
As of now chew sugar free chewing gum and drink plenty of water..
For sinus infection consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise PNS VIEW of sinuses or MRI to rule out the cause and treatment can be advised accordingly..
As of now do steam inhalation, saline nasal irrigation, and decongestant nasal spray..
Avoid chilled foods..
