General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Let me tell you that the area around the penis is usually not dry so it is not uncommon to have bacterial or fungal skin infections especially if you do not maintain a good hygiene.

You should apply a combination antifungal, antibacterial an steroid skin cream over the infected area which is available over the counter. Please consult your dermatologist if this condition remains same or worsen.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma
