What Causes Scalp Acne With Swollen Nodes Behind The Ears And Neck?
Hi doctor, I have got acne of the head/scalp from last friday, on sunday when i waked up my lymph node behund ear started swelling on both sides started swelling, i can feel that if i touch it. and now few swollen nodes on neck can be found if touched. Is there any kind of infection due to junk food or dust weather or not caring about hairs. Have taken medication. I had done CBC and ESR. Everything is normal ESR is 7mm/hr. I am worried about my health and reading different articles for different diseases.
Very likely you are having a viral infection that is self-limiting and will go away in a few more days and you will feel fine after that. On the other hand, it is best that you be seen by your doctor to confirm this diagnosis.
Acne generally is not so acute, it does not develop in a few days but is more gradual and has a chronic nature so I am not sure your skin lesions are related to acne. Still, the visit with your doctor though will help clarify the diagnosis.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
