What Causes Scaly Scab On My Hand Surrounded By A Red Ring?

I have a scaly scab on my hand surrounded by a red ring. It also itches. I thought at first it was a wart but I'm not sure. It looks ugly. What is it and now can I get rid of it? I paid the required $9.95 yesterday and am waiting for my answer so I can get started getting this thing off my hand.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your elucidate description of your problem.
By clinical presentation as you have described, this looks to be a fungal infection.
The first thing to do is to check the blood sugar ASAP.

You can apply a anti-fungal cream to the area 4 times a day.
You may need oral tablet of fluconazole , but I am afraid you may need a prescription for this. Take multi-viatamins to support the integrity of the skin...
Keep away from any chemicals as it may hamper the healing.

Check the whole body- you mat have have additions similar lesions.
