.hi ...i just want to ask ....Why I Have Lungs Scars ? But i dont have TB .....im bothered where i get this ..?way back a year Ago ...i was having my Pull Medical Check Up ..coz im Planing to work abroad .then the result is i have Lung Scars ?? What should i do ??? And i read Lung scars are permanet --..huhuhu ..make me fell really Sad....why i have this----
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Lung scars happens as a result following healing of an active infection, which could have happened in the past. Most commonly, it occurs due to tuberculosis, but not necessarily from it. Certain other bacterial infections also which has happened in the past, mostly repeatedly, could have caused fibrosis after healing process has been complete. There is nothing much to worry about it as fibrous tissue is a dead tissue. It might decrease the lung capacity for functioning depending on the amount of area scar tissue occupies. Kindly undergo 'pulmonary function test' to know about your lung functioning status. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
