What Causes Seizure Followed By High Fever?
My mother had a seizure the second week of July. While in the hospital she then got an infection. A few days later she had a high fever that lasted a week. The doctors could never tell us what cause the Seizure or the infection. She was hospitalized from the second week of July until the end of August. I don t know anymore today than the day she entered the hospital. She is now in a coma.

It must be a brain infection-bacterial (meningitis) or viral (encephalitis). Things will be clearer after blood count, MRI scan brain and EEG. She may need CSF examination (fluid taken from spine via a thin needle).
