Hi,

I admire your positive outlook and congratulate you for the attitude

Now I guess you have seizure as your main symptom

There are lots of pathological causes responsible for your problems but before going to it let me clarify the dose of Allopurinol. Usually at hospital we give patients Initially, 100 mg daily, then adjusted according to serum uric acid concentration and for maintenance: Mild cases 100-300 mg daily; moderately to severe cases: Up to 600 mg daily. And Maximum: 900 mg/day can be given. Doses over 300 mg daily should be taken in divided doses. So if you are prescribed 600 mg per day take 300 in the morning and 300 mg at bed time.

Secondly if dose changes suddenly there is a chance of seizure which is very rare indeed.

However, let me give my opinion on seizure here if you want to ruled out any other pathology.

As per your symptoms history is concerned and if I were your treating doctor I must advise you to do like this-

1)Do a CBC with differential and ESR

2)Do an MRI scan and get clinical examination done to ruled out any neurological deficit as well as

For this you need expert's guidance by your treating Neuro Doctor.

Hope this helps.
