General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Low blood sugar can be a cause for seizure. In order to function properly, the brain needs sugar. When the blood sugar drops very low, usually under 30, the actions of the neurons in the brain decrease and the person seizes. I suggest to check for diabetes and follow up with an endocrinologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
