What Causes Seizures And Numbness On The Left Arm?

my husband has a pacemaker because he was involved in a head injury that has his head telling his heart to stop beating. But lately he had been having seizures that cause him to be very weak and left arm numb and hot and last awhile. He s had 5 episodes in one day and his left arm is achy. Could this be his heart is actually stopping and the pacemaker kicking in?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The seizures are related to CNS injury with hemorrhagic foci or other ischemic insult involving particular parts of the brain.

The left arm issue is also related to residual neuropathy, not a sign of pacemaker disturbance or heart problems.

The basic correction of underlying neurologic ailment will gradually recover the issue of seizures and left arm numbness.

Have to work with a high level of patience in this case dear.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
